Gill worried

about the lack of fans in China or losing his job because the financial predictions already may be falling short?

"Clearly, Tuesday night's crowd was disappointing. There are various factors behind that, which will need to be investigated. But we were very pleased with the crowd in Hong Kong and we are confident there will be good crowds for our final two matches. What is happening on this tour does not lead us to the conclusion popularity in us is waning."

ну понеслась. сначала левая дешовая пиар кампания с сизон тикетами, а теперь пионеров из соседних школ будут насильно на стадион загонять. ну ну ;)

здравствуйте, товарищ сталин ...

5 July 2005

Mr Nick Towle
Chairman
Shareholders United

Dear Nick,

FANS' FORUM

As you know, Manchester United is now wholly owned by Red Football and has been de-listed from the London Stock Exchange.

As we consider the way the company will operate in the future, one of the areas under discussion has been the Fans' Forum and it is in my capacity as Chairman that I write.

Shareholders United, as a representative body of fans who have purchased shares in Manchester United PLC, has historically had a guaranteed seat on the Forum. However, as a result of the new structure of the company, SU clearly has no legitimacy in representing such a block of people - since no external shareholders exist.

The purpose of this letter is therefore to inform you that SU's seat on the Forum will, from the start of the 2005/06 season, be given to a representative of fans in Manchester, Salford or Trafford, to guarantee the Forum a local dimension -something that is not currently written into its constitution. This member will be selected through the normal process and, of course, members of SU are welcome to stand for this position.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Shareholders United for its contribution to the Forum since its inception.

Yours sincerely,

David Gill
CHIEF EXECUTIVE

из RN:

It would seem the ticket office are debiting money for tickets when they've been told not to... one lad has been debited for the CL qualifier even though he wrote to the club to cancel his membership of the auto cup ticket scheme.

They're now telling him they didn't receive the letter and he can't have a refund.

IMUSA wants to find out if this is an isolated incident or part of another series of "genuine mistakes" by the ticket office in the vein of the One United membership unwanted debits.

If it happens to you please email the details to comms@imusa.org - cheers.

SHOULD PEACE-LOVING FANS wearing 'Glazer Out' t-shirts be allowed to watch games at Old Trafford? Yes, says a United press officer: 'there's no club policy on this'. 'No chance,' say the stewards. 'I was stopped three times,' says fan Shane Bluck. 'Once outside the ground - they told me to cover my shirt up. Then inside when I put it back on - sitting in row AA behind the goal - I was approached by two stewards and told to take it off,
or leave the ground... One told me 'you can't wear that in front of the cameras'. 'We have no record of this incident,' say United. 'It never happened...'

'Times are obviously hard under the Glazers. Manchester United's own television station, MUTV did not travel on the official club trip when the team played in Budapest last week. Rather then pay the Ј900 per person, they sent their man Steve Bower, Paddy Crerand and the cameraman to Hungary on cheaper flights.'

как же противно :(
